Horsemanship Clinics
can attend a five day clinic at his ranch in Salome, Arizona, a two to five
day clinic at hosted clinics throughout the United States and abroad,
or Bible Horsemanship Camps. Clinics are usually limited to six riders
for a maximum learning experience. Auditors are encouraged and
welcomed to attend. You will see all sorts of breeds of horses,
all riding styles and many riding levels. Riders work
with Harry one on one in a format that is really directed by the rider.
Expect to start out at a level that is most comfortable to you and your
horse. Questions and discussion usually arise during everyone’s
session which also contributes to the learning experience.
Arizona Horsemanship Clinic
Fall, Winter and Spring months find Harry at home on his ranch in
Salome, Arizona. Monday through Friday clinics are a not-to-be
missed opportunity to leave the distractions of everyday life behind
and enjoy some one on one time with your horse, and Harry, learning his principles of horsemanship. The ranch is rural enough to enjoy peace and quiet during the day and brilliant, starlit nights. It is also close enough to civilization to visit the local “industry” (restaurant, gas, market, post office, etc.) in the small burg of Salome. The weather is usually quite pleasant, averaging in the 70’s-80’s during the day with cool evenings. The ranch truly becomes your home away from home. Stay in the bunkhouse or you can bring your RV or camper (there are hook-ups available). Hearty breakfasts and tasty lunches are provided and you can store additional foodstuffs in the kitchen. Discussions of all things horse related usually start over breakfast, and often continue on until day’s end.
The ranch offers a round pen with an observation area shaded from
the sun and offers potbelly stoves for cooler weather, and a large
riding arena. Riders choose what they would like to work on during
their individual lessons; group rides in the arena, on the playground
or on the many trails surrounding the ranch may follow. The format is
flexible and allows for some creative input in helping horse and rider.
As Harry’s clientele is varied, your group may include folks from other
cities, states or even other countries, but all share the same goal of
learning. So, why not plan to make relationship improvements with
your horse, make new friends and make plans to reserve your space!
